Deepfake: An emerging threat to Cybersecurity

In 2019, AI was used to imitate the voice of the CEO of a German energy company, where an employee received a call from the CEO instructing him to transfer 220,000 pounds to a Hungarian supplier.  Trusting the voice, and the urgency, he transferred the money. Later it was revealed that the CEO never made a call, It was a case of deepfake.

Social Engineering creates a psychological impact on the mind of an individual, which acts as an addition to technical hacking in such cases. In such cases, the deepfake voice is used to:
