Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act (PPIPA)

Ducara helps you comply with the Australian Constitution and the PPIPA of 1998 (as amended in 2020), which protect the right to privacy and personal information for individuals in New South Wales. Ducara ensures that your personal information processing is based on one of the twelve information protection principles, such as collection limitation, accuracy, security, etc., and that you respect the individuals’ rights and choices. Ducara also assists you with the obligations and procedures established by the PPIPA, such as obtaining consent for sensitive information or cross-border information transfers, implementing security measures, notifying breaches (if applicable), and cooperating with the Privacy Commissioner.
