With the help of AI, the machines can be protected from the viruses that are unknown for now but there is a high possibility of even more hazardous viruses and cyber-attacks which are not even in the wildest thoughts in human minds.
The work done by spies for the country is the same as that done by cyber attackers or cyber spies in the data-driven century.

AI can help by studying the complex pattern of the threat or malware very quickly and help lead to the solution on its own without much interference of human.

It will help in the detection of phishing attempts by the pattern of the metadata and the behavior of the sender.

 

AI can be made capable of responding to the threat, which can reduce the time for detection and response. This reaction time reduces the damage to the computer and the company’s servers. AI-designed software or a platform can work 24/7 without the involvement of a person.

 

With the help of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, we can draw the pattern of past incidents and get ready for future security.

 

But Every Coin has two sides, which means if the AI is beneficial, then it can be disastrous if used by mucky hands.

 

Negative Effects of AI in Cybersecurity.

Cyber criminals can use the AI to mature or expand the range of attacks.

Example: In recent times, we witnessed the deepfake technology that is used by criminals to do phishing by changing the voice and faces of the real person.

 

If we talk about data misuse, then it is so common as data can be easily accessed from companies and their personnel. Mishandling of data can make the user’s privacy zero, which is against the data security norms.

 

AI is good, but over-dependency on it is also a threat, as the human brain is itself more powerful than AI, which is working uniquely in 8.2 billion people, which means white hat and black hat hackers are working to show each other a villain.

  1. DARKTRACE: This tool is used to observe the dark web for cyber threats and other outlawed activities.
  2. CROWDSTRIKE: This company helps to protect businesses from cyber threats such as malware, ransomware, phishing, etc.
  3. IBM WATSON: This tool first analyzed and unstructured the problem to get to the solution.
  4. VECTRA AI: This platform uses AI to provide security against real-time threats, which improves the response time.

Ethical AI hackers are the need of demand to block the hacking attempts by criminals.

Coming to the conclusion of AI and Cybersecurity, As AI is a vast syllabus this is just the starting of the technology and more have to come in future so it is good to start making or training much more datasets and personals with ethical hacking so that the effects can be neutralized in future.
